Working on my giant painting about particle physics and James Joyce.

Three process shots - initial paper collage, first paint washes, and working with a palette knife.

Not sure how I am going to finish this one, but I like it so far.

My take on the Death and the Maiden theme. Cheery, no? I’m not sure if it’s done yet - I might add some more color over the top.

I’m trying out a new way of working with collage - using the actual paper instead of going straight to gesso transfers. So this is all paper - some vintage, some not, and the large image of the woman will be transferred directly into gesso, We’ll see how it turns out in about a month when the gesso dries. Then I’ll cover the whole thing with paint.
